Can you describe the feeling you get before you take the basketball floor? That feeling you get as you get ready to take the floor in front of fans, family, friends and loved ones? I had the privilege of playing in quicken loans arena, the infamous Home of Lebron James and took this picture of the tunnel and thought I’d leave a thought on the type of feeling I’d always get before I stepped out on the floor…
”That feeling”
Chills, butterflies, the feeling that something was crawling on the inside of my stomach that I could not shake would come over me as I stood in the tunnels, stairways, or whatever stood before me prior to taking the floor before a game. This was a feeling I developed before every game I’ve ever played even to this day. I was afraid, not that I would play bad, but because I loved the game so much I always wanted to have the type of performance that would have at least one person wondering who I was. I am my own worst critique because I always wanted to play the best game I could possibly play that day.
What kind of feelings do you get before you play? Are they similar to mine? Are you overly excited? Describe the feelings you get before you take the floor.
